A spokesman for Bushra Bibi has stated that the party founder would be held accountable for the demonstration, which fell short of its goal of obtaining his release, as the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) faces numerous challenges in the wake of the Islamabad protest.
Mashal Yousafzai wrote on X, formerly Twitter, that “She [Bushra] reached the D-Chowk as per Khan’s instructions [whereas] party leadership was not there […] whatever happened Khan sahib will hold [people] accountable.”
The former first lady did not attend or preside over the party’s political committee meeting, the statement added.
Yousafzai’s remarks coincide with the fallout from the party’s protest’s sudden termination after a government crackdown on federal employees.
