Imran Khan, the former prime minister and founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), said on Monday that it would be an honor for Pakistan if he were chosen Chancellor of Oxford University.
Speaking to reporters from Adiala Jail, where he is being held on several accusations, Khan stated that his accomplishments would not be diminished even if he were to lose the chancellorship.
“No one in Pakistani cricket history has accomplished what I have. I have built two hospitals, two universities, and a third university that is currently being built in Pakistan. I have also done the most humanitarian work in the country,” he said.
