LAHORE: Punjab Information Minister Azma Bokhari asserted on Sunday that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder, Imran Khan, would be released from prison as the party gets ready to demonstrate its political might in Islamabad today.
Today, the main opposition party is scheduled to host a public protest in Sangjani, a neighborhood of the federal capital. Senior PTI leaders are leading loyalist convoys that are traveling from different places throughout the nation.
Bokhari slammed the Imran-founded party’s power show in the federal capital, saying during a press conference that “they [PTI] are going to stage a drama in Islamabad today.”
She went on to say that such protests and public assemblies would not result in the release of the imprisoned former premier.
