PESHAWAR: Senior PTI leader and former Khyber Pakhtunkhwa minister Shaukat Yousafzai blasted the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leadership on Thursday for their poor handling of the Islamabad march, claiming that the suffering of imprisoned party founder Imran Khan was getting worse as a result of the party’s mistakes.
In a statement, the PTI leader said that the central leadership was solely to blame for this.
He questioned why it was disregarded if the PTI founder had instructed that the sit-in be held at Sangjani. “Strategy in politics is made by looking at the situation,” he stated.
Nearly 1,000 followers of the former ruling party were arrested by police as a result of their “do or die” rally calling for Khan’s release.
Salman Akram Raja, the secretary-general of the PTI, has stated that at least 20 people died.
