Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), has written a third open letter to General Asim Munir, the Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), reiterating accusations of election rigging and “bringing money launderers” into office, according to his lawyer on Wednesday.
In a statement, his attorney Faisal Chaudhry stated, “The PTI founder has brought up the issue of favoring the minority over the majority through election fraud in his letter to the army chief.”
On February 3 and 8, the 71-year-old lawmaker and former cricket player, who has been incarcerated since August 2023, wrote two “open letters” to the army chief, claiming that they were written “because all democratic avenues had been obstructed.”
