According to Senator Irfan Siddiqui of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), imprisoned PTI founder Imran Khan’s letter to Gen. Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), was evidence of his “despair and frustration.”
The senator called Imran’s letter to the army commander a “charge sheet,” adding that in 2023, the former prime minister had also written to COAS through former president Arif Alvi. The senator made this claim in a statement on Wednesday.
“They [PTI] did not receive a receipt or a reply to the previous letter, and will not receive this time as well,” said Siddiqui.
Imran, who is detained in Adiala jail, wrote a six-point letter to the army chief two days prior, according to confirmation from PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan and attorney Faisal Chaudhry.
