ISLAMABAD: Crown Prince Mohammad Bin Salman reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for Pakistan on Saturday during a congratulatory phone call with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who took office earlier this month.
The Saudi crown prince, known as MBS, thanked PM Shehbaz, emphasizing that both countries have close fraternal connections.
During the phone discussion, MBS congratulated the premier on his re-election, to which PM Shehbaz responded by thanking him for the call and the warm greeting message he delivered soon after taking office.
The prime minister also expressed his heartfelt greetings and prayers for the health and well-being of King Salman Bin Abdul Aziz, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, emphasizing that the people of Pakistan have a deep affection and respect for the Saudi King and Crown Prince.
The PM stated that Pakistan is proud of its historic, deep-rooted, and fraternal connections with Saudi Arabia, and the two countries have always remained together through thick and bad. He praised the Saudi government for its unwavering commitment and support for Pakistan.
He also wished a good Ramadan to both the Saudi government and the Saudi people, and prayed that this holy month bring peace and prosperity to Muslims worldwide.
