It’s Pat Sajak’s daughter interviewing him to commemorate his last week hosting “Wheel of Fortune.”
In anticipation of her father’s farewell “Wheel of Fortune” episode on Friday, the game show debuted the first of four videos featuring Maggie Sajak questioning him about his career on Monday. In April, the farewell episode was recorded.
“Who’s cutting onions in here??” The caption on Instagram said. In honor of her father’s last week hosting “Wheel of Fortune,” Maggie’s unique four-part interview series with Pat, “Thanks For The Memories,” begins today. You should not miss it: You should know Pat that there are plenty of chuckles mixed in with a few tears. There were 41 seasons and over 8,000 episodes.
Ahead of his final show, Wheel of Fortune host Pat Sajak’s daughter Maggie takes viewers inside the scenes.
When Maggie inquired about her father’s thoughts of his last week of “Wheel of Fortune” appearances, he answered, “Surprisingly, okay.”
“This was announced a long time ago, almost a year ago, so I’ve had time to sort of get used to it, and it’s been a little bit wistful and all that, but I’m enjoying it and taking it all in and reflecting on a great run,” he said.
Maggie and Pat went on a journey down memory lane, returning to Pat’s early years.
