In a significant development, a neurosurgeon in Scotland has completed an amazing operation to remove huge brain tumors through the eyebrow.
According to the BBC, this procedure is a “world first,” and the surgeon, Anastasios Giamouriadis, hailed it as a “complete game-changer in medical history.”
Giamouriadis has modified an established method to remove the tumors, which are said to be as big as apples.
While the procedure can be finished in three hours, some patients are able to leave the hospital in as little as twenty-four hours and return to work in a matter of days.
According to a statement from Mr. Giamouriadis, “With this approach, patients wake up straight away, and occasionally they go home the day after the operation.
