Those that met Chaudhry in jail reportedly included his brother, uncle, mother, and wife.
Chaudhry’s kids had also been present.
The family came out of jail after meeting with Chaudhry in the conference room.
It was reported earlier in January that Chaudhry had declared he would boycott the elections. Additionally, he had sent a formal letter of notification to the Pakistani Election Commission (ECP).
In his letter to the election commission, Fawad Chaudhry stated that the exercise would be meaningless if voting was not an option.
