After around 80 years, a parachute that was supposedly used to transmit handwritten messages to pigeons during World War II has been discovered.
The parachute was found in an old shoebox, according to the family that just donated the unusual item to the House on the Hill Toy Museum in Standsted, Essex, England.
The parachute was stored inside the now-deceased Mrs. Ellington’s home. Ellington’s family uncovered a shoebox containing the pigeon parachute and other D-Day relics.

According to news, the parachute was believed to have been used prior to the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944.
