In an effort to stop overcharging and expired food items in service areas, the National Highways and Motorway Police (NHMP) recently conducted inspections. As a result, violations of Food Authority Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) resulted in fines of Rs 350,000.
Teams consisting of Assistant Commissioners, Motorway Police, and representatives of the Food Authority examined different sites on the M-1, M-2, Saat Expressway, and Hazara Expressway, according to NHMP North Zone spokesman Muhammad Saqib.
They discovered expired goods during these inspections at several locations, which were thrown out right away.
Due to overcharging, many outlets were also closed, and a total of Rs 350,000 in fines were assessed.
In order to guarantee that clients obtain hygienic meals, Saqib highlighted that severe measures are being imposed against violators on the roads.
