KARACHI: Due to a low-pressure weather system, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasted significant rainfall in the southern regions of the nation, including the port city, next week. As a result, Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab declared a rain emergency on Saturday.
According to the most recent report from the weather forecast department, a new rain system over west Bengal is expected to travel westward over the next few days, bringing powerful monsoon currents to Pakistan’s southern regions on the evening of August 25.
It further stated that this system was predicted to bring with it significant rainfall between August 26 and 29, which prompted the relevant authorities to take emergency action.
Mayor Wahab of Karachi declared a rain emergency on Saturday after considering the forecasts.
