The PCS union declared that the strike action will occur from April 11–14.
Ninety percent of the employees at Heathrow who handle passport and immigration procedures opted to walk out in protest of a new roster and shift schedule modifications.
By the end of next month, 250 employees at the west London airport may be forced to go due to the changes, according to the union.
“Ministers have 14 days to withdraw these unfair and unnecessary proposals, or our members at Heathrow will take strike action,” stated general secretary Fran Heathcote.
“Speaking with employees has been a joke, and our members have little to no say in what they want to discuss.”
