In Tuesday’s interbank trading, the rupee lost 10 paise versus the US dollar, finishing at Rs278.27 as opposed to Rs278.17 the day before.
The Forex Association of Pakistan reports that the open market dollar buying and selling rates were Rs277.80 and Rs279.30, respectively.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the price of the euro dropped 14 paise to close at Rs292.14 from Rs292.28 the previous day.
The British pound saw an increase of Rs2, finishing at Rs353.44 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs351.44, while the Japanese yen fell by one paisa to close at Rs1.80.
