Karachi: A dumper truck traveling the wrong way on the Hub River road collided with a rickshaw in a terrible road accident in Baldia on Friday night, adding to the city’s already high number of fatalities from traffic accidents. This brings the year’s total to 150.
This led to the death of one man and the injuries of four others, including his kid. The man had come to Karachi to prepare for his son’s wedding from Pishin near Quetta.
Following the collision, the truck driver reportedly left the area, according to witnesses. They reported the huge vehicle also struck another rickshaw.
With this occurrence, there have been 150 road deaths in Karachi in the first two months of 2025 alone.
