It was revealed on Tuesday that robbers in police clothes stole from foreign visitors in Karachi’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) amid the city’s increasing lawlessness.
According to police authorities, the four international visitors who arrived in the city on Sunday were robbed of $1,080 (Rs300,942) that same day near Khayaban-e-Mujahid.
When they encountered the bandits, the Polish visitors were en route to Clifton’s Dolmen Mall to purchase SIM cards for their cell phones.
The tourists left the country the very following day without complaining to the authorities, disappointed with the city’s terrible law and order condition.
The police officers said that “statements of foreign nationals have been recorded,” but they declined to file a complaint about this.
