Lahore and its surrounding areas were relieved of the oppressive heatwave as a result of the torrential rains that soaked several areas, such as Gulberg, Defence, Cantt, Johar Town, and Faisal Town.
The city was considerably cooled by the sporadic showers, which also lessened the severity of the current heatwave.
Because of the persistent rain, Lahore’s temperature noticeably dropped to 37 degrees Celsius. Residents who had been suffering oppressive temperatures for days were relieved by the abrupt change in the weather.
Similarly, rainfall was seen by neighboring Lahore areas including Ferozwala, Muridke, and Kasur, which changed the oppressive heat to a delightful coolness. Residents were thankful for the cool change and noted how much the intense heat was relieved.
