The Lahore district administration has been stepping up its efforts to control market prices, and as a result, the price of chicken and some vegetables has significantly decreased.
Following recent district government inspections, the cost of chicken meat has been lowered to Rs552 per kilogram.
Authorities have assessed 980 locations in Lahore in just the previous day alone. Due to the strict surveillance, three charges were filed, three people were taken into custody, and 153 infractions resulted in fines totaling Rs800,000.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Syed Musa Raza of Lahore highlighted that administrative authorities were enforcing tough penalties for price violations.
