In Laos, southeast Asia, a suspected mass poisoning has claimed the lives of five tourists, including British attorney Simone White.
“We are supporting the family of a British woman who has died in Laos, and we are in contact with the local authorities,” the UK Foreign Office said Thursday, confirming the 28-year-old’s passing.
It follows earlier that day’s confirmation of 19-year-old Australian Bianca Jones’s death by her family.
An American man died in the tourist town of Vang Vieng, the US State Department informed the media hours earlier.
