The founder chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and former prime minister met with at least 403 persons 105 times in 246 days, from September 28 to May 30, while incarcerated in Rawalpindi’s Adiala jail.
In September of last year, the former premier was moved from Attock prison to Adiala Prison one day after the Islamabad High Court (IHC) issued a ruling. He has been incarcerated since August 2023.
The data, presented to the Supreme Court by the government, shows that on September 28, the cricketer-turned-politician was permitted to meet with six persons, whereas in October, the former premier witnessed twelve distinct encounters with forty-three people.
The information also showed that the 71-year-old met with 52 individuals 13 times in the subsequent month of November.
Khan, who was removed from office in 2022 due to a vote of no confidence, conducted 15 meetings and met 54 people in April. He was permitted to hold 13 meetings and interact with 56 persons in May.
In response to the previous prime minister’s allegations that Khan was being held in solitary confinement, the federal administration produced documentary proof of individuals who had met Khan and the resources being made available to him.
