By testing multiplayer capabilities in its lightweight game collection, “Playables,” YouTube is advancing interactive content.
By permitting multiplayer gaming in real time, the streaming behemoth hopes to increase user engagement. At the moment, this feature rollout includes games like Magic Tiles 3 and Ludo Club.
“We’re starting to test a new multiplayer feature for a few select games on YouTube Playables,” the company announced in an official statement. Playables’ multiplayer feature allows you to play games with other users in real time.
After more than a year of development, the Playables feature now offers a free selection of mini-games that were previously only available to premium users. But YouTube opened up access to all users in May 2024.
