Pakistan’s gold prices have surged to all-time highs after a notable uptick in both domestic and foreign markets.
The price of 24-carat gold in Karachi increased by Rs2,900, setting a new record per tola rate of Rs265,900. In a similar vein, the cost of 10 grams of 24-carat gold increased by Rs 2,486 to Rs 227,966.
The steep increase in global gold markets, where the price of an ounce of gold increased by $51, is in line with the recent spike in local gold prices. The global market’s increasing tendency has pushed local prices to previously unheard-of heights.
