According to the military’s media wing, security officers who were killed during the demonstration were given funeral prayers at the Chaklala Garrison in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.
They were identified as Sepoy Shah Nawaz Shaheed, 33, a resident of Sibi; Naik Muhammad Ramzan Shaheed, 47, a resident of Karak; and Sepoy Gulfam Khan Shaheed, 29.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar, Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir, and other senior military and civilian officials attended the funeral, according to a statement from Inter-Services Public Relations.
“Pakistan cannot afford to use turmoil and violence to further its own political agenda. These violent crimes are intolerable, abhorrent, and on the verge of being uncontrollable.
