Actors are being urged by Nicolas Cage to remain steadfast in their opposition to the use of AI to replicate their likeness.
At the 52nd Saturn Awards on Sunday, Cage addressed the AI issue in his acceptance speech after winning the Best Actor in a Film prize for his performance as Paul Matthews in the movie Dream Scenario.
However, I am also troubled by another reality. The new AI world is happening all around us right now. “I firmly believe that we should not allow robots to dream for us,” he stated.
“We cannot expect robots to represent the human situation. That is a dead end if an actor allows one AI robot to even slightly alter their performance.
