The former beauty model said she was “not running from matters” and announced on Instagram that she was filming overseas when she was unable to attend.
Judge Catherine Burton of the Insolvency and Companies Court issued an arrest warrant for the 46-year-old on Tuesday, stating that she had received “very clear warnings” to attend.
She was also warned in April that if she continued to miss hearings, she might be arrested.
Price was expected to answer inquiries from attorneys regarding her financial situation; in November of 2019 and again in March of this year, she was declared bankrupt.
Price wrote a lengthy essay on the internet in which she stated that she was “neither embarrassed nor ashamed” and that the media was attempting to bring “continued humiliation to myself and family.” She also stated that she had to keep working in order to comply with her bankruptcy orders.
In addition, Price revealed that she would be receiving treatment in a video that she had posted, endorsing a clinic in Istanbul where she was filming a documentary on corrective surgery.
Judge Burton claimed that Price had not provided an explanation for her absence and that “she has no real excuse” when he issued the arrest warrant on Tuesday. He also stated that “the reason for her absence today is irrelevant.”
