Robert Downey Jr., who is well-known for his wit, made fun of Critics Choice Award winners when he won Best Supporting Actor for Oppenheimer.
The Marvel star recited some of the worst criticism about his work from past Critics Choice Association members during his funny award speech.
“The first one is’sloppy, messy, and lazy,’ kind of like a haiku. The second one is more symbolic, he continued, comparing it to Pee-wee Herman waking up from a coma.
Putting on a British accent, the 58-year-old said, “And lastly — and this one lingered — ‘amusing as a bed-locked fart.'” He went on, “This was from a Brit: ‘A puzzling waste of talent.”
Robert is currently in the midst of award season; the excitement surrounding the Oscars is palpable, and he recently took home a Golden Globe for Oppenheimer.
The Golden Globe winner has referred to his work at Marvel as some of his greatest pieces of his career thus far.
