The discovery of a new gas reserve in Sindh province’s Khairpur Latif block has given Pakistan’s energy industry a much-needed boost.
This is a good step as the nation works to increase its natural gas reserves and satisfy its domestic energy needs.
Since drilling started on May 4, the well has produced 11.27 million standard cubic feet of gas per day.
The latest discovery is a positive outcome of PPL’s and two of the project’s private companies’ cooperative efforts. The well drilling procedure started in May 2024.
Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) and two additional private businesses are partners in this discovery.
