Chief Meteorologist Sardar Sarfaraz stated on Tuesday that the first round of monsoon rains is anticipated to arrive in various areas of the nation after June 19, predicting “more than usual” rainfall this year.
In response to a question, Sarfaraz stated that there was no likelihood of rain on Eid-ul-Adha in plain areas.
This monsoon, according to the chief meteorologist, very high rains are predicted for several regions of the nation; nevertheless, the precise scenario can be predicted several days in advance of the spell.
He stated, “Heavy rainfall is also expected in Southern Sindh, including Karachi.”
The chief meteorologist stated that after a protracted period of hot and muggy weather, Karachi’s temperatures will largely stay normal, with a peak temperature of 35–36°C in June.
“This month, Sindh will also have normal temperatures, aside from Karachi,” he continued.
The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicted that the majority of Sindh would see hot, dry weather through Thursday. According to the forecast, the temperature was predicted to drop to a minimum of 28 °C and rise to a maximum of 37 °C.
