At the Academy of Country Music Awards rehearsals, the 47-year-old country music artist spoke with Fox News Digital on what it means to him to be an American citizen.
“I think being American to me just means freedom,” Aldean stated. “The best country in the world is where we live.
“I mean, there’s a reason why everyone else wants to come here and wants to be here,” he went on. The reason for this is that they lack what we have. Therefore, despite the fact that it occasionally goes a bit awry and is difficult to discern, I’m still incredibly proud of that and of our nation.”
However, Aldean continued, “I believe we live in the best country in the world.”We get to travel and yet live the American dream, after all. You have the ability to start from nothing, create something, and transform your life and the lives of your family members.
And it’s kind of cool because I believe we still have the capacity to do that in this nation.
