According to News, the artist, whose true name was Charles Jones, was pronounced dead after police were summoned to a Holiday Inn early on Sunday morning.
According to Foolio’s attorney Lewis Fusco, he was shot during a “ambush” while inside a car in the hotel’s parking lot.
Nearby, another car was also struck.
After being brought to the hospital, three more victims are reported to be in stable condition.
The motivation is still being looked into by police, and they are trying to find the people involved.
The evening of his passing Mr. Fusco verified that Jones was commemorating his 26th birthday.
On his social media platforms, he had previously posted videos of him partying, particularly on Instagram, where he had a million followers.
On Saturday night, he posted an invitation to a pool party and instructed his fans to write him directly for the address.
He reported that the cops had “shut us down and kicked us out” of their Airbnb later that evening on social media.
Following that, Jones moved to the Holiday Inn, the scene of the attack, according to a statement from his attorney.
