ISLAMABAD: In light of the continuing problems with law and order and the developing crisis in the war-torn nation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) has activated its Crisis Management Unit (CMU) to support Pakistanis in Syria.
A Syrian commander who was aware of the decision told Reuters that the Syrian army command advised its officers this morning that President Bashar al-Assad’s rule had ended due to a swift rebel offensive.
In light of the circumstances, the Foreign Office (FO) has requested that Pakistani nationals in Syria and their families get in touch with the CMU via phone at 051-9207887 or via email at cmu1@mofa.gov.pk.
According to a press release released by the Foreign Office (FO) on Saturday, the Pakistan Embassy in Damascus is still actively working to assist Pakistani citizens in Syria.
