The demand for Pakistan’s rice has increased significantly on global markets, and the country’s rice exports generated approximately $721.8 million in foreign exchange in the first quarter of the current fiscal year.
In comparison to the same period last year, rice exports increased by a record 77.63 percent, according to official documents.
Pakistan exported 991,000 metric tons of rice between July and September, which is a significant increase over the 596,000 tons shipped during the first quarter of the previous fiscal year. The previous year’s rice exports generated $406.4 million in foreign exchange earnings.
Pakistan earned $257.2 million in foreign money by exporting 374,000 metric tons of rice in September alone.
Given that 255,000 metric tons were shipped in the previous year, it implies a 49.19 percent rise.
