According to a report by the Economic Affairs Division (EAD), the nation borrowed $714.74 million from several sources of funding in the first two months of the fiscal year 2024–2025 (July–August).
When compared to the $3.206 billion borrowed during the same period in 2023–2024, this is a significant decrease.
Even though $9 billion in time deposits were budgeted for—of which $5 billion came from Saudi Arabia and $4 billion from SAFE China—no money was received in July or August for this category. Furthermore, the UAE’s financial support was not mentioned.
The government had budgeted $19.393 billion for the fiscal year 2024–25, which comprises $19.216 billion in loans and $176.29 million in grants, from a variety of financing sources. Notably, no contributions from the are included in this budget.
