In interbank trade on Tuesday, the rupee strengthened by nine paisa against the US dollar, finishing at Rs 278.32 as opposed to Rs 278.41 the day before.
The Forex Association of Pakistan reports that the open market buying and selling rates for the dollar were Rs278.50 and Rs280, respectively.
The State Bank of Pakistan reports that the euro price closed at Rs310.87, down 37 paise from the previous day’s closing of Rs311.24.
The British Pound saw a 24 paise increase in exchange rates, trading at Rs367.59 compared to the previous day’s closing of Rs367.35, while the Japanese yen saw a two paise loss and close at Rs1.91.
