WASHINGTON: Police have identified a 15-year-old female student as the attacker who opened fire at a school in the US state of Wisconsin on Monday, killing a teacher and another student. The accused gunman was also discovered dead.
Three individuals were killed and seven others were injured at the Abundant Life Christian School, a private Christian school with roughly 400 pupils, according to Shon Barnes, the police chief in Madison, the state capital, during a news briefing.
“The shooter has now been identified as (a) 15-year-old,” Barnes said to reporters, naming the young person.
“She was a student at the school, and evidence suggests she died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound,” he stated.
According to Barnes, a second-grader reported the gunshot to emergency personnel.
