She informed Poulsbo, Washington, officials that she had been feeding a family of raccoons for decades.
That appeared innocuous until dozens of people began to show up at her property, some of them were scratching at her car and front door.
According to Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Kevin McCarty, some of the attendees were hostile.
The woman’s home was surrounded by a group of 50 to 100 raccoons, as seen on camera by the sheriff’s office.
She claimed that the raccoons were growing more hostile and demanding food, threatening to ruin her day.
They would surround her if she moved from her front door to her car or outside at all, and they would also scratch at the car if she pulled up.
They continued to return here and to anticipate meals because they now recognized this as a source of nourishment.
