According to a Washington Post investigation released on Tuesday, India’s foreign intelligence service allegedly carried out a systematic assassination plot to murder roughly six people in Pakistan starting in 2021.
Six such assassinations were allegedly orchestrated by the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and were compared to purported efforts to kill Khalistan separatists in Canada and the United States.
According to a named official cited by the US-based newspaper, Pakistani petty criminals or hired shooters from Afghanistan were responsible for the killings in Pakistan rather than Indian nationals.
The RAW allegedly employed merchants from Dubai as middlemen. After that, the businessmen were divided into different groups to conduct surveillance, plan murders, and make hawala payments.
