Due to New Delhi’s continued tardiness in approving visas and travel permits, India has been deprived of the hosting rights for the 2025 Blind Women’s T20 World Cup after refusing to travel to Pakistan to compete in the current men’s tournament.
The decision was made at a World Blind Cricket Council (WBCC) meeting in Multan, where officials engaged in a contentious discussion over India’s refusal to issue no-objection certificates (NOCs) to its squad for the tournament that is now taking place in Pakistan.
The decision to suspend the hosting rights was made since India is notorious for denying visas to the Pakistani squad due to its shortsighted policies and lack of vision. Additionally, India had refused Pakistan’s blind people visas.
