India announced their 15-man teams on Saturday for the highly awaited ICC Champions Trophy 2025 and the next three-match ODI series against England.
Ahead of the tournament in Pakistan and the United Arab Emirates, Indian captain Rohit Sharma and chief selector Ajit Agarkar formally unveiled the team during a press conference.
The return of bowler Mohammed Shami, who last played in an ODI match against Australia in the 2023 ODI World Cup final, is one of the squad’s main highlights.
India’s bowling assault is greatly strengthened by Shami’s presence as they get ready for the upcoming big events.
The decision to include Jasprit Bumrah in the Champions Trophy 2025 remains unclear, though. At the moment, the pacer is recuperating from a back injury.
