OpenAI informed the BBC that it uses “publicly available data” that are consistent with “widely accepted legal precedents” and refutes the accusations.
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman met with IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in Delhi on Wednesday to talk about India’s strategy for a low-cost AI ecosystem.
He claimed that India “should be one of the leaders of the AI revolution” and that his prior remarks from 2023, in which he predicted that Indian businesses would find it difficult to compete, had been misconstrued.
He stated during the event that “India is an incredibly important market for AI in general and for OpenAI in particular,” according to local media.
Asian News International (ANI), the biggest news organization in India, launched a lawsuit against OpenAI in November.
