Currently, the third-largest group of undocumented immigrants in America are Indians.
A Pew Research Center research from 2022 states that there are 725,000 undocumented Indian immigrants in the United States, placing them third in size behind immigrants from Mexico and El Salvador.
The number of Indians apprehended by the US Border Protection Agency, which is a division of the Department of Homeland Security, tripled in just two years to 96,917 last year. And these are the only ones who were apprehended.

According to local media, another family perished while attempting to cross the St. Lawrence River by boat to enter the United States from Canada.
