Indian Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s “misleading and one-sided” comments during a podcast with US computer scientist and podcaster Lex Fridman were denounced by the Foreign Office (FO) on Monday.
“Every attempt to foster peace with Pakistan was met with hostility and betrayal,” PM Modi claimed in the podcast. “Wisdom would prevail on the leadership in Islamabad to improve bilateral ties,” the Indian premier said.
FO spokeswoman Shafqat Ali Khan denounced Modi’s deceptive marketing, saying: “The statements are biased and misleading. They conveniently leave out the Jammu and Kashmir conflict, which hasn’t been settled for the past 70 years in spite of India’s solemn promises to Pakistan, the UN, and the Kashmiri people.
He claimed that India’s involvement could not be concealed by its false victim narrative.
