ISLAMABAD According to figures from the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), Consumer Price Index-based (CPI) inflation in Pakistan fell to 1.5% year-on-year (YoY) in February 2025 from 2.4% in the first month of this year, marking its lowest level since September 2015.
The headline inflation rate decreased by 0.9% month over month in February 2025, compared to a 0.2% increase in January and no change in February 2024.
During the first eight months of current fiscal year (8MFY25), the average inflation rate was 5.85%, which is a significant decrease from the 27.96% recorded during the same period previous year.
Taking a closer look at the figures, urban inflation fell to 1.8% in February.
