Actor Noah Schnapp of Stranger Things recently released a statement in response to criticism he had seen online.
His version of events emerged when, in November 2023, he flaunted “Zionism is sexy” stickers and made “insensitive” remarks regarding the ongoing conflict in Palestine.
The 19-year-old actor posted on TikTok on Monday night, saying, “I wanted to just state from my heart how I feel because I feel like my thoughts and beliefs have been so far misconstrued from anything even close to what I believe.”
“I only want safety, security, and peace for all innocent people affected by this conflict,” he continued.
After receiving threats online, an insider reportedly told Daily Mail that Noah “wanted to set the story straight.”
The insider also refuted the notion that Noah made a statement because the show’s producers forced him to.
The producers and actors of the show put no pressure on her. The insider disclosed that the reason behind his most recent apologies was not coercion from fellow cast members, the show, executives, or even Netflix.
Reinstated: “He has discussed it with those close to him, but no specific action or removal of any comments or videos on the subject was required of him.”
