LAHORE: In a demand for the institutions to remain within their bounds, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub stated on Saturday that the armed forces and intelligence services are state employees.
The opposition leader of the National Assembly spoke to the media in Lahore, “Politicians are also bound to do their politics within the constitutional parameters,” outlining his perspective.
Since May 9, 2023, when riots erupted in response to PTI founder Imran Khan’s incarceration, the PTI has been in difficulties as crowds assaulted government buildings, notably the Corps Commander House in Lahore.
Khan, who has been detained for more than a year, recently declared that he was willing to engage in dialogue but only within the parameters set down by the Constitution.
