In Friday’s interbank trading, the rupee lost six paise vs the dollar, finishing at Rs278.41 as opposed to Rs278.35 the day before.
The Forex Association of Pakistan reports that the open market dollar buying and selling rates were Rs277.95 and Rs279.45, respectively.
According to the State Bank of Pakistan, the price of the euro dropped 42 paise to settle at Rs289.05 from Rs289.47 the previous day.
The British Pound’s exchange rate dropped by Rs2.95 to conclude at Rs348.09 from the previous day’s closing of Rs351.04, while the Japanese yen was stationary and closed at Rs1.77.
The Saudi Riyal and the Emirates Dirham saw an increase in exchange rates.
