With an emphasis on developing innovative technology and sustainable farming methods in Pakistan’s agricultural sector, the International Agriculture Conference 2024 got underway in Karachi. Shahina Sher Ali, Sindh’s Provincial Minister for Women Development, officially opened the event, with assistance from the Sindh Agriculture Department, which served as co-host.
Prominent individuals who attended included Durdana Shehab, Chairperson of the Pakistan Media Development Foundation, Sindh’s Agriculture Secretary Rafiq Ahmed Buriro, Special Agriculture Secretary Jahangir Kakar, KP Agriculture Secretary Ata-ur-Rehman, and Major General Shahid Nazir, Director General of the Green Pakistan Initiative. All of these individuals offered their perspectives on the conference’s function in advancing agricultural innovations.
During the two-day conference, panel talks centered on applying technology and sustainable agriculture methods, while other topics included organic farming and water management.
