The cause of Monday’s Delta jet crash and turnover at Toronto’s Pearson Airport is being investigated by investigators; all 80 persons on board survived the tragedy.
Deborah Flint, the CEO of the airport, stated that this was “not the time” to make assumptions about what caused the crash and that investigators would be examining the aircraft on the runway for the next 48 hours.
Before coming to a stop upside down, the Minneapolis-based Delta Air Lines aircraft skidded along the runway while flames were seen.
Authorities said on Tuesday that 19 of the 21 injured had been released from the hospital. There are no potentially fatal injuries to either of the two individuals.
The 16-year-old CRJ900 aircraft, manufactured by Canada’s airlines, carried 76 passengers and four crew members.
