ISLAMABAD: Iranian President Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi declared on Monday that Iran and Pakistan are committed to combating terrorism and other forms of instability that pose a threat to both of our nations as well as the larger region.
Following a three-day visit to Pakistan, the Iranian president made these comments at a joint press conference with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad.
“Both of our countries share a number of common positions and stances. For example, in the fight against terrorism, we are committed to combating organized crime, drugs, and various forms and manifestations of insecurity that pose a threat to both of our countries as well as the region,” stated President Raisi.He stated that the volume of trade and economic activity between the two nations is “not acceptable” and that “today we decided to increase economic, commercial, and cultural relations between Pakistan and Iran.”
